Serene Summer Photography For Your Home Decor!

‘Every Summer has its own story’

With Summer almost officially upon us here on the Emerald Isle it’s time for those Lavender Line Photography colour palettes to help inspire your home decor this sea-serene season! Unlike with my other seasonal colour palettes I decided to focus on seascape only, as nothing says Summer quite like the beach!

From waves of dusty pink to oceanic blue, burnished lilac to burnt orange and a touch of transformative teal, there is a perfect colour combo for everyone!

Which colour palette suits your soon-to-be Summer season mood?

Moments By The Ocean

‘One Ocean, One Climate, One Future — Together’ 🌊

Today marks World Ocean Day, a subject that features heavily within my photography work and one of my favourite things to capture no matter the weather, the season or the time of day. There is something so captivating about the ocean and how no two days are the same with its ever-changing waves! I think that’s what makes it the perfect subject matter for me, that element of surprise and not knowing what the final outcome will be!

I’m fortunate to live in a place that is surrounded by water and although I would love to someday live by the beach, to know that I am only a short drive away from my favourite beaches and having those simple moments of vitamin sea close by is something I don’t take for granted! It’s the best feeling, to step away from the busy everyday distractions to the calming soundtrack of the sea!

This year feels important to draw more attention to World Ocean Day, to not only respect our oceans more, but to protect them by doing our bit no matter how big or small in stopping plastic pollution to help obtain a healthier ocean allowing future generations to also enjoy the beauty of our blue planet too!

Below are just some Ballycastle favourits of mine which you can also find on Etsy to add a little vitamin sea to your home decor!

Lavender Line Moments In May!

Goodbye May, Hello June!

Chapter 5 of 2026 and with it the beginnings of that Summer magic here on the Emerald Isle! From a mammoth Yellowstone binge (late to the game but fully making up for lost time) to the many adventures of the coast road, two beach-to-myself sunsets, the return of my favourite Iced French Vanilla Latte season, a new coffee shop experience, mini waves of vitamin sea and the day-today runnings at Lavender Line HQ! All in all my kind of month!

Here’s to Chapter 6 and it having similar adventures!

A Lavender Line Mini Mount Monday!

When those mini waves wash up on the printer for vitamin sea season! 🌊

An important aspect within my work has always been affordability and creating photography prints that people can own no matter their budget or wall space situation. I have personally lost count of the pieces of art I have fallen in love with over the years that unfortunately budget came into play and so the Lavender Line Photography mini mounts were created as a way for people to own their favourite photography print without breaking the bank or lack of wall space.

The mini mounts not only make for a great way of collecting Lavender Line Photography prints, they also make for the perfect size to send to that special someone, a play on the postcard if you like, and we all know how us old schoolers love collecting and sending postcards to mark each trip or special occasion!

Those famous North Coast waves rolling in with Lavender Line’s famous Miss GoLightly!

Lavender Line Photography mini mounts, the perfect mini addition for your day-to-day art collections!

You can find Lavender Line mini mounts available for purchase at the fabulous Storybox in East Belfast and 2020 Art in Whitehead showcasing many famous Northern Ireland landmarks, with hopefully more beautiful small shop locations to come once I push myself out of that comfort zone to get in touch with possible stockists!

Those Lavender Line April Moments!

Goodbye April, Hello May! 🌊

Chapter 4 of 2026 brought with it some much needed positive news, beautiful blue skies, coast road adventures, dreamy sunsets, a fabulous product & lifestyle shoot with one of my favourite small businesses, vitamin sea, catch-ups with friends, a new coffee shop followed by a new beach and last but not least tickets to Queen Celine in Paris (the pre-sale concert lottery gods were with me)! A month where life has felt more normal again!

So, here is to chapter 5 and whatever May adventures it brings with it!

That Small Business Product Photography Sign!

‘You don’t take a photograph, you make it’ - Ansel Adams

I have been meaning to do a post like this for a while now, but in true small business fashion that old Imposter Syndrome crept in and put it on the back burner! So, here goes…

As many know for the past year and a half I have been working alongside other small business owners to capture their beautiful products and showcase their work in a way that not only ties in with their business and branding, but that helps bring attention to their work in an ever aesthetically pleasing world. It’s an area within my work that I adore as I get to not only challenge myself, but I get to help other creatives bring their visions to life in a way that might not come so naturally to them.

A lifestyle product photography shoot I did for my Mindful Moments Coaster range, bringing a feel of the outside inside!

As a small business owner myself I know firsthand that costs come into play with all decision making which can unfortunately mean cutting back on certain important areas within a business, photography being one of them, and so I have made the conscious decision in keeping to affordable pricing plans to help small business owners reach their full potential with images that help bring new life to their promotional material!

I will be opening up my product photography slots again in May, so if this is something that calls out to you and your business then please don’t hesitate to get in touch, maybe this is your sign to book the shoot!

PS. To the businesses that I have been very fortunate to work with, thank you so much for trusting me in bringing your visions to life!

The Life Of A Celine Dion Fangirl!

I think it’s only right that with the return of Queen Celine and her exciting Paris news I dedicate a blog post to her and what for me has been the highlight of 2026!

As most people know I have been a huge Celine Dion fan since 1996 (hard to believe 30 years already) with the release of the Falling Into You CD. I can still remember so clearly blasting out ‘It’s All Coming Back To Me Now’ and ‘If That’s What It Takes’ (which I thought was the English translation of Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore) from my mini-hifi system and on repeat, much to the annoyance of my Dad! While most kids my age were all about boybands (East 17 for me), I was drawn to Celine and her power ballads! I found it refreshing to have a singer who wasn’t afraid of letting her personality shine through, how her sense of humour would take over in interviews and how she didn’t follow that typical manufactured pop-star act! An artist who knew how to stay true to herself and still does to this day!

17th April 2026 - A day to remember with the release of a beautiful new song ‘Dansons’

I first had tickets to see Celine in Botanic Belfast back in 1999 for the Let’s Talk About Love Tour which was unfortunately cancelled (and rightly so) due to Rene’s illness. It wasn’t until an almost decade later that I got to have my first concert experience, the 5th March 2008 in Manchester for the Taking Chances World Tour. I can still feel the emotions and excitement of that night, the arena going dark, the opening video, the first words of ‘I Drove All Night’ and Celine making her way to the stage so close to my left! It’s a night that has stayed with me all these years and will continue to do so for many years to come!

I have also been very fortunate to experience Celine live in Las Vegas. The first on the 3rd July 2011 where the craziest rain and flooding hit The Strip and caused a short delay to the show, something that she made sure to make a joke about when taking to the stage ‘I bet you weren’t expecting that, rain in the desert!’ and again on the 5th September 2015, the year of my big 30th birthday celebrations!

Jump forward to the lockdown times of 2020 and with it the rescheduling and cancelling of the Courage World Tour and my London O2 date. As sad as it was to miss out on another Celine Dion concert, to know that it brought with it the biggest positive in allowing her to take the time to get the health answers needed was a reward in itself!

For fans and for most people in general the ‘I Am Celine Dion’ documentary as beautiful as it was, hit extremely hard seeing what Celine had been silently dealing with over the years. It takes an incredibly strong character to allow that kind of ‘in’ and to show themselves at their most vulnerable, but in true Celine fashion it made her all the more relatable! Someone who has never been afraid to show her emotions, to show how hard she has worked to get to where she is or the challenges and struggles faced throughout the years!

Slowly working on that Celine Dion record collection!

Collecting Celine Dion CDs since Circa 1996!

And so here we are, the year of my big 40th celebrations and ready for Queen Celine to take to the stage once again, back where she truly belongs! I count myself incredibly lucky to not only have gotten tickets to what will be the most unforgettable of nights, but that I have an idol who has pushed through all boundaries with her determination in keeping her dream and legacy going! It’s honestly the best big birthday gift I could have been given!

The Life Of An Incredibly Lucky Fangirl, Paris, nous voilà!

So, here is to always believing, to pushing through boundaries and to following dreams! I can’t believe that I actually get to say… I’ll see you in Paris Celine!

A Lavender Line Kind Of March!

Goodbye March, Hello April! 🌿

It’s hard to believe that we are on chapter 4 of 2026 already! It really does feel like time goes by faster and faster!

Despite a lot going on in real life right now I really enjoyed March and the adventures it brought with it. From playing tourist for a friend’s first Belfast visit to the many weather-changing coast road trips, the return of sea sparkles, a beautiful candlelight Hans Zimmer night, copious amounts of iced vanilla lattes (tis the season), new art exhibitions, my photography work and last but not least the return of Queen Celine! March was making sure to include little moments of joy, something I lacked in February and feel is important to have with all that is going on in the world.

So, here is to those April moments and what I hope will include Celine Dion Paris 2026 tickets! 🤞

A Touch Of Simply Scandi Spring!

"No winter lasts forever, no spring skips its turn" - Hal Borland

The arrival of Spring calls for my favourite way to kick off a new season, with the new edition of Simple Scandi magazine, a magazine dedicated to inspiring our interiors and lifestyle with the perfect touch of all things Scandi!

This one is special because not only does it feature a little Lavender Line Photography’s Sunset Silhouette, the photograph that has gone on to be the face of my business so-to-speak, it also features an article from my Instagram pal @manon.galama who moved to Stockholm a little over 4 years ago from the Netherlands and documents the city beautifully. An issue to definitely check out!

It would have been wrong not to capture those out-of-control Tulips of mine for a little Spring themed Simply Scandi shoot!

To add a touch of Spring to your home decor this new season be sure to check out my Etsy shop or shop in person at my Portview Trade Centre studio or the fabulous Storybox Shop!
