World Ocean's Day 2026!

‘One Ocean, One Climate, One Future — Together’ 🌊

Today marks World Ocean’s Day, a subject that features heavily within my photography work and one of my favourite things to capture no matter the weather, the season or the time of day. There is something so captivating about the ocean and how no two days are the same with its ever-changing waves! I think that’s what makes it the perfect subject matter for me, that element of surprise and not knowing what the final outcome will be!

I’m fortunate to live in a place that is surrounded by water and although I would love to someday live by the beach, to know that I am only a short drive away from my favourite beaches and having those simple moments of vitamin sea close by is something I don’t take for granted! It’s the best feeling, to step away from the busy everyday distractions to the calming soundtrack of the sea!

This year feels important to draw more attention to World Ocean’s Day, to not only respect our oceans more, but to protect them by doing our bit no matter how big or small in stopping plastic pollution to help obtain a healthier ocean allowing future generations to also enjoy the beauty of our blue planet too!

Below are just some Ballycastle favourits of mine which you can also find on Etsy to add a little vitamin sea to your home decor!
