‘Chase your stars fool, life is short’ - Atticus 💫
Well hello 2026! It's been awhile since my last blog post (at some point I will get better at this blogging game), but seems only right to kick off the first post of 2026 with celebrating January10th and marking 6 years since signing the paperwork and picking up the keys to my beautiful Portview studio!
I still remember how apprehensive I was in making such a big small business decision, but deep down I knew that in order to push Lavender Line Photography further I had to take a leap of faith in myself and my business and just go for it!
January 10th 2026 - How it’s going!
January 10th 2020 - Where it started!
This was a studio space that seemed a perfect fit for me and one that I had long admired over the years through instagram. Little did I know that attending a Shared Threads Christmas market and a chat with my lovely market neighbour Sharon from Innocent Chaos would soon lead to me being her studio neighbour!
Though it might have seemed like the biggest small business risk at the time with covid hitting just two months later, it’s a risk that I am so happy I took! Not only did it push me out of my comfort zone (something that I can stay in far too easily), it brought me the best group of friends a gal could have, people I admire on a daily basis who chase their small business dreams too!
I’m not sure this gal would have believed 6 years ago that she would be selling her photography prints worldwide, capturing beautiful product images and have the best small business support network, but here we are and what a chapter it has been so far!
Here's to chasing those dreams no matter how big, small or scary they may seem! 🫶
A Portview sunset - It’s hard to beat a beautiful old mill building, the perfect setting for a small business like mine!
H&W - There aren’t many carparks with an iconic view such as Portview’s looking out to the famous Harland & Wolff cranes : Samson and Goliath
